Dr. Fadhil Abbas Al-Kaabi – Iraq (Head of the Children’s Literature Department)

A poet, writer, journalist, and pioneer of children’s literature in Iraq. Born in 1955 in Al-Mahmoudiya, he began his journalism career in 1978. He chaired the Iraqi Children’s Literature Association from its establishment in 1993 until 2000. He has published nine poetry collections and a wealth of literary works for children. He has also produced radio and television programs .and received multiple awards, in addition to an honorary doctorate in recognition of his cultural legacy
