Subhi Daqouri – Syria (President Committee)

A Kurdish-Syrian French writer, researcher, and translator based in Paris, Soubhi Daqouri combines literature, thought, architecture, and law, having pursued his studies at the Sorbonne and Versailles universities. Distinguished by his encyclopedic knowledge and multilingual fluency, he has built intellectual bridges between East and West through more than thirty authored and translated works in philosophy, literature, and cultural thought. His writings—spanning criticism, translation, and narrative prose—are characterized by profound humanistic and philosophical depth and a continuous quest to redefine the relationship between identity, culture, and freedom. Daqouri is regarded as one of the leading Kurdish-Arab intellectual voices in the diaspora, actively enriching both the European and Arab cultural scenes through lectures, forums, and intellectual dialogues.
